What memory foam does is something that no ordinary spring mattress can do, which is react to your body’s contours. The benefit to this is its flexibility which allows it to support you both on your back and on your side. (Chiropractic tip: Do not sleep on your stomach. This will damage your neck as well as low back)

The best mattress for your body is not too hard and not too soft, a combination that is often not easy to find. Finding the right mattress is a difficult task and for those of you who may have a spine that is misaligned, you won’t feel comfortable on any mattress. From a chiropractic and spinal biomechanics perspective, a perfect mattress should be soft enough so none of the body’s blood and lymph vessels are blocked, but supportive enough so the muscles are not stretched and compressed throughout the night. The quality of a spring mattress is often measured by the number and complexity of the springs inside. The foam cells inside of a memory foam mattress act as millions of small springs designed to cushion your body weight evenly so that your body weight is distributed as evenly as possible. This results in less pressure and a more restful sleep.

I’ve recently had the chance to experience SlumberMAAX’s memory foam mattress and I’d like to share with you my own personal experience with this mattress.

When I first saw how inexpensive SlumberMAAX was I thought to myself, “Great! It’s going to be some shoddy cheaply made mattress.” But I was pleasantly surprised.  When the mattress arrived, it was NOT some cheap mattress, but one that I would have paid much more for back in the United States. It was delivered by SlumberMAAX’s cargo van and set up at my home. All I had to do was open the door and show them where to put it. It was a bit curious that the mattress was covered in a protective quilted covering that said aloe on it. It was explained to me that the quilted cover is treated with aloe vera which reduces skin irritations and gives it a much softer feel. Within minutes of unpacking the compressed mattress, it was already three times the height and ready to be used.

Unfortunately the day after I received the mattress, I started feeling under the weather.  Fortunately, coming down with a cold gave me plenty of time to experience my new memory foam mattress. I slept about 8 hours the first night and the second night I got a good 12 hours of sleep in. With any normal mattress, such as the ones I’ve used in the past, I would have woken up with a moderate amount of back stiffness from sleeping that long, but with the memory foam mattress from SlumberMAAX my back felt great. There was still a bit of tightness, but not nearly the amount I would have usually felt. Over the next week or so, as my back got more and more accustomed to the mattress, my back felt better and better morning after morning.

I love sleeping and a good night's sleep (and sometimes an afternoon nap) is very important to me. I have never slept on a memory foam mattress before and was eager to try out our new SlumberMAAX bed. I immediately noticed how nice and durable their mattress looked.

When I first slept on it, the mattress felt a little too soft. My initial reaction was that it was comfortable, but lacked the support of a harder mattress. I now realize that it only felt that way because of the stark comparison to the hard mattress I had been previously sleeping on. After a few more nights, my concerns abated as it was evident that memory foam has the ability to naturally support the body’s curves. For those sleeping with back pain or suffer from uncomfortable pressure spots due to a bad mattress, this mattress is definitely a good place to start. There is a good amount of support in the mattress since the foam is resilient and of high quality. I have now used SlumberMAAX for a couple weeks, and everything has been great! I am happy to recommend this product!
